Our Experience

Energy Netball was founded by Melissa O'Brien. Melissa has had extensive experience in both coaching Netball and Sport Administration and has worked for both the Hillary Commission in New Zealand and the Australian Sports Commission in Australia.

Melissa has developed Netball Coaching resources over the past 15 years developing manuals and DVD’s along with coaching many teams and conducting many clinics for players and coaches.

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 Advanced – Netball Australia accreditation
  • Associate Diploma – Sports Management and Coaching
  • Diploma – Financial Planning

  • Australian Institute of Sport Scholarship Holder

  • I met Melissa O’Brien some 15 years ago at a Level 1 Coaching clinic at which she was the presenter.

    I was instantly impressed by her enthusiasm and her ability to make the whole weekend lots of fun whilst at the same time to learn a great deal of coaching ideas to pass onto players.
