Defending in front concentrates on cutting off an option for the thrower

That is if the defence takes the front position just before or during the release from the opposition, this could change the mind of the thrower. This is a difficult discipline to perform on court because there is a risk in committing the defence to the front. All players on court should learn to perform this skill on court as it is another advantage the teams set of defensive skills.
